ST. LOUIS, MO, June 29, 2011 /Electrical PR News/ -- Originally receiving Lead-Safe Certification in February 2010, Window World of St. Louis is committed to providing safe and environmentally-friendly replacement window and door installation for residents throughout St. Louis and the surrounding areas.
Beginning in April 2010, all home improvement companies who performed replacement window, siding, door, and drywall installation were required to complete companywide Lead paint training and certification. Any home improvement work or invasive new product installation in homes constructed prior to 1978 would be required by the EPA to undergo strict lead-safe procedures to ensure the safety of the residents and workers within the home.
The EPA has found that homes built prior to 1978 are at a high risk of containing paint and other materials which may release harmful lead particles during home renovations or door & window removals and replacements. The EPA has also found that lead particles are shown to cause respiratory and developmental problems in children, adults, and household pets.
Since these new Lead-Safe requirements were implemented in 2010, Window World of St. Louis has successfully installed new windows and doors in over X homes throughout St. Louis & the surrounding areas.
