Forrest Colliver, a veteran defense & aerospace industry professional, has held advisory positions with the United States and French governments. He joined Sensis Corporation in February 2010, having previously worked for Texas Instruments Inc., Exxon Mobil Corporation, EMS Technologies, Sofreavia, the Mitre Corporation and Thales Aerospace. As Director of Business Development, he is responsible for the management of all sales and business development operations for the company's air traffic systems division, including management of the division's global sales force, and strategic direction of market competitiveness, pricing, compensation, and distribution and channel strategy.
He attributes his success to listening before speaking, both within his workgroup and his company, and by being attentive and ever vigilant to his customers' needs. Counseled by a university thesis advisor to seek a career blending application of technology with a collaborative management style, he has successfully been able to provide 25 years of mentoring, team leadership and product launches while encouraging fresh talent and ideas to thrive in a variety of corporate environments. He holds a MBA from East Tennessee State University (1986) and a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University (1976). A member of IEEE and the winner of the Innovation in Technology Award from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), he founded AvAdvise LLC, an aviation consultancy firm.
